Playgroup Tasmania offers supported playgroups that are safe, warm, welcoming and adaptable spaces for all. Supported playgroups are free to attend and your child does not need a formal diagnosis.
Eat Well Tasmania champions and promotes the eating of seasonal Tasmanian food. Working closely with industry and government, our goal is to bring more delicious seasonal Tasmanian food to Tasmanians.
Providing transport to medical appointments and social gatherings in and out of Dorset.
A friendly group of community members meet monthly for a meal in various locations around Dorset. Ring the House to find out the next location and to book your place. Transport can be arranged.
Providing free food and grocery items delivered by Loaves and Fishes Tasmania. A fresh delivery arrives every second Friday. Call the House for details.
Growing fresh produce in our garden for sale at low prices.
A community playgroup for birth to age 5 that operates on a Wednesday and Friday morning. Feel free to just come along or ring us for more info.
Fun and active activities for ages 8-12 in each mid year school holidays (not over summer). There will be some activities at the House and some out and about around Dorset and to other fun places!
We have a range of in-house visiting service providers taking appointments at the Dorset Community House.
Gran’s Van operates a mobile food van 6 nights a week in Devonport and surrounding areas. We provide a hot meal (winter months) or salad/cold meat (summer months) and hot drink or bottle of water.
The Safe Choices program is focused on the improved safety of women, children and other Tasmanian community members, through the raising of community awareness around the issues of Family Violence.
We provide food parcels from Loaves & Fishes.
