FindHelpTAS provides a wide ranging, publicly accessible, independently managed dataset of services and activities that support the health and wellbeing of Tasmanians and our communities.
Here is a link to our introductory video showing how the site is set up so you can search effectively.
Who we are
FindHelpTAS is a self-funded community initiative lead by a partnership of Tasmanian community service organisations:
- Colony 47
- Hobart City Mission
- Mission Australia
- Relationships Australia Tasmania
- The Salvation Army
- UnitingCare Tasmania
TasCOSS manages the site day to day and supports the partner group.
Why are we here?
In 2015, this group took action on the need for a central online directory of community services across Tasmania that was kept up to date, and made available to every Tasmanian.
They formed a unique partnership and created the FindHelpTAS website.
We want to make it easy for Tasmanians to be supported, to get involved and feel valued in their communities.
Our partner organisations value strong communities and support for low income and disadvantaged Tasmanians.
This platform aims to make it easy to make those connections.
In 2019 we launched version 2 – a huge leap forward including a wide range of new improvements and features based on the feedback we have received from users and community organisations since 2015.
We would love to hear your feedback.
