Planning your travel:

Getting from A to B starts with planning your journey. There are a few ways to find out which bus you need:

Paying your fare:

For a faster and safer travel experience with Metro, we recommend paying fares with a Greencard. A Greencard is like a digital wallet – top it up with credit to make catching a bus easier, quicker and cheaper.

Greencard makes your travel easier, faster and cheaper with:

• 20% discount on all fares;
• transfer between buses for free within 90 minutes; and
• fares capped at low rates for all-day travel

You can set up a convenient automatic top up online or add credit to your Greencard as you need it:

• online
• using the Metro app
• at a Greencard agent
• on a bus

Using the Metro Tas app

Everything you need to navigate the Metro Tasmania bus network in the palm of your hand. With the Metro Tas app you can:
• Plan your next trip
• Save your favourite destinations (including work, school and home) and your favourite trips
• Manage your Greencard account (including check your balance, view trip history, and top up your card)
