Community Kinship Engagement Program
The Community Kinship Engagement Practitioner provides a key service contact point for informal kinship carers in the south of Tasmania.
This provides carers and service providers an opportunity for assistance navigating through the service system. The practitioner can also enhance access to supports and assist informal kinship carers with advice, practical support and referrals as well as advocacy and education within government and the general community.
Who this service is for
The service provides networking with relevant stakeholders and raises the awareness of informal kinship carers and support the delivery of community campaigns to remove the stigma and normalise informal kinship care.
Referral from Community/Government Services or self-referrals.
Referrals will come through the Strong Families, Safe Kids, Advice and Referral Line on 1800 000 123
