The Tasmania Fire Service’s Community Education Unit delivers a number of programs in the community to enhance community safety. These programs are free-of-charge.
We help clients by providing food packs, food vouchers, personal hygiene packs, clothing and furniture. We can also assist in the payment and management of electricity, gas or phone bills.
AK Young Women’s Emergency Accommodation Service provides young women with appropriate support to address their identified needs
At West Winds we aim to provide a range of support and services for the south Channel community.
Magnolia Place LWS provides short term accommodation in a high security setting for women and their children who are experiencing homelessness.
A Safe Place. Jireh House is a welcoming, supportive 24 hour crisis accommodation and support service for women and children who have become homeless due to domestic violence and other life crises.
The Flinders Island Multi-Purpose Centre comprise of nine aged care beds, five acute beds, an Outpatient and Emergency service, physiotherapy, x-ray, podiatry/footcare and visiting services.
Our Food 4 Thought breakfast program provides students with a nutritious breakfast prepared in the Loaves and Fishes Tasmania Devonport kitchen. Chaplains also provide support in times of crisis.
The Zeehan Neighbourhood Centre provides community development, for the whole community for people of all ages, race and sex, including the aged, young persons and indigenous people.
