transport2treatment (t2t) is a free service for patients who otherwise could not get to cancer treatment provided by Cancer Council Tasmania.
Cancer Council Support groups provide a safe place for people affected by cancer to come together, develop friendships, share ideas and thoughts in a non-judgemental environment.
Cancer Council Tasmania’s Cancer Support for Under 25’s is a state-wide program supporting Tasmanian families of children, adolescents and young adults with cancer up to the age of 25 years and survivors of childhood cancer.
Cancer Council Tasmania’s Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) aims to assist Tasmanians diagnosed with cancer when they are undergoing treatment or receiving palliative care who are experiencing financial hardship. Cancer Council also has free legal support programs currently available.
Through Care2Serve, the Tasmanian provider of the Australian Government Carer Gateway program, young carers can access a range of support and information that can help them in their caring role.
These programs give clients an opportunity to come together to create artwork, go on outings, make friends and learn new skills.
We can help with house cleaning, vacuuming, bathrooms, washing and ironing. We can also shop for food, prepare appetizing and nutritious meals.
Respite care is short-term care available to a person and their care giver. Respite care provides help for carers so that they can take part in everyday activities or go on holidays while ensuring that the person receiving care is looked after, and given a break to recharge their batteries.
CTST offers a range of social outings for our over 65 clients.
