Youthcare has crisis accommodation for young men aged 13 to 20 in southern Tasmania.
At Youthcare you’ll find support and assistance to reconnect with your family or to establish safe long term accommodation that suits you.

You’ll be able to stay at Youthcare and get a good sleep. Youthcare staff will help you plan what you would like to do next. That might mean working things out with your family, or getting back to school, or it might mean finding more permanent housing. We will work with you and build your confidence so you can find and access the support and accommodation you need.

Youthcare is a 24 hour, 7 day a week crisis accommodation. Young people can self-refer via phone or can be referred by a parent, carer or support worker.

Who this service is for

Youthcare has safe crisis accommodation if you are:
– male 13 to 20 years old,
– homeless or about to become homeless
– in southern Tasmania

If you want to apply for a unit at Youthcare, you’ll need to apply for Social Housing at Housing Connect. If you are eligible, let Housing Connect know you would like to live at Youthcare.

Cost

Cost to you – Rent is $70 per week forthose on income. The first two weeks are rent free.
