So what’s on offer?
Exploring Self Employment Workshop
These interactive, week-long online workshops empower participants to refine and advance their business ideas, featuring expert-led sessions on Business Start Up.
Small Business Training
Provides access to free accredited training. Choose between short courses or more comprehensive Certificate III or IV courses in Entrepreneurship and New Business.
Business Plan Development
Provides support in preparing or updating your business plan to drive growth and improvement, including a two cash flow forecast.
Business Advice Sessions
Offers tailored advice on a range of topics such as staff recruitment, digital marketing, product development, and innovation. You can access two 1 hour sessions per year.
Business Health Checks
Helps existing businesses identify opportunities to enhance their commercial viability, including approaches to support development and growth in one 3 hour session.
Small Business Coaching
Provides 12 months of one-on-one business mentoring, offering ongoing support to work through challenges, brainstorm ideas, set clear goals, and sharpen your business strategy while spotting ways to manage risks.

Who this service is for
General Eligibility
- Must be at least 15 years of age
- An Australian citizen, or a visa holder with working rights (with minimum 24mths left on visa)
- Not be enrolled in full-time secondary education
- Not an undischarged bankrupt
- Special eligibility for retrenched workers, veterans, and family members of serving Australian
Existing businesses
- An existing micro-business (5 or less employees including the owner)
- In need of support to continue sustainable commercial operations over the next 12 months
- Operating under an independent business structure and maintain a controlling interest over the business
- Be lawful, withstand public scrutiny and be controlled, managed and physically located in Australia
Cost
This is a federally funded program, so there is no cost to the participant.
