Mates4Mates

Mates4Mates provides a way forward for current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members and their families experiencing service-related physical injuries, mental health issues, and isolation.

We support veterans and their families through our psychological and physical rehabilitation and wellbeing services, social connection activities, and skills for recovery programs.

Psychological services

Providing evidence-based individual and group therapy, our highly skilled team of psychologists are here to help with challenges such as trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, and relationship issues.

Physical rehabilitation and wellbeing services

A range of physical rehabilitation and wellbeing services are delivered in individual and group settings. Our qualified exercise physiologists understand how a balanced approach to recovery can be lifechanging.

Social connection activities

Knowing the power of social connection and community, the team creates opportunities for mateship and peer support through social, recreational, and family activities.

Skills for Recovery Programs

Designed to provide veterans and their families with opportunities, both online and in-person, to develop new skills and learn techniques to help them move forward from the impacts of service.

Whether you are a veteran, are currently serving, or are a family member of someone who has served – you can access support if you have been impacted physically or psychologically by your service. We provide a safe, supportive environment for you to seek help with no judgement or expectation.

We host a variety of social connection activities across the state, as well as online.

Our online social connection activities provide those needing support with the opportunity to form meaningful connections with others, no matter where they are in the world. Some current online social connection activities include weekly coffee catch-ups, monthly trivia evenings, school holiday craft programs, and short creative activities such as painting, photography, and cooking courses.

Support looks different to everyone, which is why Mates4Mates are committed to providing services to veterans and their families to best suit their recovery journeys.

If you’re a veteran or family member who has been impacted by service, make the call that makes the difference on 1300 4 MATES (62 837) or visit mates4mates.org.
