Get the Most Out of Life

The Get the Most Out of Life program is a practical way to learn how to overcome daily challenges and maintain an active and fulfilling life while living with ongoing health conditions.

Get the Most Out of Life is facilitated by two trained leaders.
Leaders are volunteers or health workers, who are often living with chronic conditions themselves.

The program runs for 2½ hours each week for six weeks with a group of about 10 – 15 people.

Topics covered include:
• Managing your symptoms
• Healthy eating and physical activity
• Communicating effectively with your doctor and health care team
• Managing difficult emotions
• Making daily tasks easier
• Setting reachable goals
• Problem solving and decision making.

You will learn new skills from the program and from each other that will help you feel more in control of your condition.
Attend a Get the Most Out of Life program and you will build these skills in a friendly, supportive atmosphere with other people who are also managing the effects of ongoing health conditions on their lives.
