The LGBTIQA+ Family Violence Service is:

• Free and confidential
• Statewide
• Face-to-face in Hobart, by phone and/or video
• Co-located at Working It Out and Engender Equality offices
• Mid to long term engagements over a two-year period. Some people will only need a few sessions; some will participate in many more
• Suitable for people affected by family violence now or in the past
• For LGBTIQA+ people, including those who are questioning or exploring their gender or sexuality; over the age of 15; and including those who are in non-traditional relationship structures.

Who this service is for

People who identify as LGBTIQA+ and are experiencing or have experienced abuse in a relationship.

Interpreter services are available if required.

Opening Hours

We operate during normal business hours. Our counsellors may be able to provide appointments outside normal business hours if you ask them.

Accessibility Support

We can offer face to face counselling at Working It Out if you are unable to come to Engender Equality or arrange transport for you to come to Engender Equality or Working It Out (if you are based in Southern Tasmania). We can discuss your specific accessibility needs during your intake appointment.
