Child, Youth and Family Engagement

Child, Youth and Family Engagement (CYFE) provides free professional and confidential support to children and young people up to the age of 18 and their families who are at risk of or affected by mental illness in the Central Coast and Devonport regions.

  • Early interventions on an outreach basis, including one to one and group support
  • Practical assistance for the whole family to support children and young people with their mental health and wellbeing
  • Information and referral for families
  • Education for the community to increase local capacity to respond early and appropriately.

Who this service is for

Referrals to CYFE may come through schools, social workers, child protection (where orders are not in place), clinical services, psychologists, GPs, and other community services, with the consent of the young person and a responsible adult.

Self-referrals are also accepted.
