We’re Australia’s first secular for purpose organisation to focus entirely on the prevention of child abuse and neglect before it starts.

NAPCAN’s strategy is to support and encourage changes in individual and community behaviour to stop child abuse and neglect before it starts by:

– promoting quality child abuse prevention research
– advocating for child safe policies and strategies
– co-ordinating national Child Protection Week and promoting the Play your Part strategy
– demonstrating good practice
– supporting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people

We help communities help children.

We provide resources and community information on child abuse and neglect prevention. We provide support for parents by providing information on parenting.

We also provide “Love Bites” Respectful Relationships Education Training.
