Bridgewater Community House

The Bridgewater Community House is part of the Jordan River Service, which also includes the Jordan River Community Workshed in Bridgewater and the Gagebrook Community House and Waterbridge Food Pantry in Herdsman’s Cove. We work in collaborative and innovative ways to Connect Community, Support People, Create Opportunities and to champion Local Leadership. We are proud members of the Tasmanian Neighbourhood House network.

From our Bridgewater site/s we offer the following:

• Emergency Relief (when available)

• Access to a computer, printing, photocopying, scanning for approved purposes

• NILs applications (by appointment)

• Work For the Dole (work placement) activities

• Volunteering opportunities

• Gardening activities

• Needle and Syringe Program

• Top Gear Driver Mentoring Program

• Integrated Family Support worker

• Community Lunches (Wednesdays)

• Woodworking activities and programs (from the Shed)

• Community-led crafts and Pingo

• Learner Licence Assist Program (motorbike and car test)

• A welcoming face, a listening ear, a cuppa and support to access other services

• Our Managers are Commissioners for Declarations and can certify your documents (by appointment)
