Supported Independent Living
Hobart City Mission currently operates four shared Support Independent Living homes, and supports one participant in their own home. We provide 24 hour on-site, supported accommodation for residents with physical or intellectual disabilities. These homes are located around the greater Hobart area, and provide an support based on a person's individual needs.
An important principle of our supported accommodation program is to encourage family involvement in the planning of daily support for their loved one, and focuses on developing the skills of each individual to live as autonomously as possible.
