Supported Accommodation – Small Steps
Hobart City Mission's Small Steps is a live-in supported program that provides safe and secure accommodation and support for young women up to the age of 25 with infants. These women are often at risk of State care intervention due to a lack of secure accommodation or supportive systems.
We provide 24 hour support and assistance to help young mothers develop parenting and life skills and to help them transition into independent living.
The program aims to create a nurturing and supportive environment where both mother and baby thrive, thereby increasing the likelihood of a baby remaining in its mother's care.
Young women in Southern Tasmania can enquire about moving into the program.
