Young carers program by CarersTas

The young carers program provides information to support people up to the age of 25 who help care in families and friendships where someone has an illness, disability, mental health issue, alcohol or other drug problem or who is frail and aged.

Sometimes Young Carers find it difficult to get to school, do homework, spend time with friends or have a job. The Young Carer Program can link you with services and information to support you and help with the stress and worry you may experience from your caring responsibilities.

We also have a Young Bursary program – financial support for young carers education.
