Young carers program by CarersTas
Through Care2Serve, Tasmanian family and friend carers can access a range of support and information that can help them in their caring role. If you need help in your caring role, we can provide advice, information, and referrals, provide you with a tailored solution specific to your needs, help you take a break, or be there for you in case of emergencies.
We also offer you a safe space to talk confidentially with a counsellor or connect you with a coach to work on your goals.
Care2Serve provides free, inclusive, and confidential support.Care2Serve can help you figure out how to manage school, training, education, or work as a carer:
- Information and referrals to helpful support
- Help at home with cleaning, meal prep
- Help with tutoring or providing a laptop/tablet to help you study
- Professional counsellors to talk with safely and confidentially
- Coaching to support you to reach your goals
- Support to take a break from caring
- Activities to connect with other young carers
- Attend wellness workshops and events
- Support to apply for the annual $3,768 young carer bursary
Who this service is for
People up to the age of 25 who help care for a family member or friend with disability, mental ill health, chronic or life-limiting illness, alcohol or other drug dependence or who is frail and aged.
