Vinnie’s Van – (Soup Van)
Vinnies Van is a free mobile service that provides those experiencing or are at risk of homelessness, marginalisation and social isolation with:
- a warm, nutritious meal, fruits and drinks
- information and referrals to other community services and government agencies
- support, compassion and friendly face
Operating from sites across Launceston, this emergency service is delivered by St Vincent de Paul Society volunteers providing meals and support to those in need.
Launceston - City, Ravenswood, Youngtown
North West Coast - Wynyard and Burnie

Dining with Friends is a free community meal held in Hobart, Bridgewater and Launceston.
** COVID-19 Update - Some areas provide phone interviews only, with food drop off at your door** We offer emergency assistance through food parcels, heating, clothing, furniture, hydro and phone assistance. We can assist with utilities bills and provide rent assistance support as required.
