Seniors Card

The Tasmanian Seniors Card Program is part of a State Government initiative, jointly supported by private enterprise. Currently in Tasmania there are over 111,500 registered Seniors Card holders, supported by more than 600 businesses that offer a diverse range of discounts on products and services.

The Seniors Card is a business discount card not a concessions card.

Who this service is for

To be eligible for the free lifelong Tasmanian Seniors Card you must be:
– A resident of the State,
– 60 years of age or over, and
– Not working more than 20 hours per week in paid employment.

How this service is delivered

  • Face-to-face

    The program is free to join and is not asset tested.

    To join, take three pieces of identification (one showing proof of your Tasmanian address and one your date of birth) to Service Tasmania.

The Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) is a free service. We work with adults, children and young people who have experienced family violence. If someone is at immediate risk or in danger call Tasmania Police on 000.
