Online and Face-to-Face “Safe Space” Peer Support sessions

Peer support for family members and friends of people living with mental ill health.
These sessions are offered online fortnightly via Zoom, and face-to-face once per month in Hobart, St Helens, Launceston, and Devonport.

Join us in a safe space to meet with Family and Friend peer workers from the Tasmanian Health Service, guest speakers, and other family members and friends of someone with mental ill health.

Past topics: communication; grief; conflict; self-management; self-care; our needs; sleep; drug and alcohol

These forums are for families and friends of a person with a mental illness and are not open to service providers.

Face-to-face Safe Space Peer Support:

- St Helens; first Tuesday of every Month at 5pm - 6:30pm
- Launceston; first Wednesday of every Month at 5pm - 6:30pm
- Devonport; first Thursday of every Month at 5pm - 6:30pm
- Hobart; third Wednesday of every Month at 5pm - 6:30pm

Online Safe Space Peer Support:

- First fortnight on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm - 8:00pm
- Second fortnight on Wednesday afternoons from 1pm - 2pm

How this service is delivered

    Hobart sessions are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 5-6.30pm
    St Helens sessions are held on the first Tuesday of each month from 5-6.30pm
    Launceston sessions are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 5-6.30pm
    Devonport sessions are held on the first Thursday of each month from 5-6.30pm
