Meals on Wheels Tasmania
Meals on Wheels is a voluntary organisation, delivering meals to all people of all ages, who, through sickness, age and/or disability, cannot reasonably get a meal for themselves and who wish to remain with dignity and independence in their own homes.
Recipients can receive meals on a long or short term basis and delivery is up to five days per week in the larger areas. Larger regions also offer multiple meal choices and fresh meals daily.
Who this service is for
People of all ages, who wish to remain living independently in their own homes.
There is no means test as eligibility is based on need, according to HACC, CHSP and HCP guidelines.

There is a fee structure associated with this service.

We deliver meals to the homes of our clients, and provide a wellbeing check when we visit.
Please note Meals on Wheels Tasmania do not deliver in the areas of Launceston, Burnie or the West Coast. If you live in these areas the Red Cross will deliver to you. Please contact the Red Cross on 1300 663 291.
