Government Discounts and Concessions
The Tasmanian Government offers a wide range of discounts and concessions on the cost of government services. The concessions aim to achieve a balance in the standard of living and access to essential services for all members of the Tasmanian community.
The discounts and concessions recognise that many Tasmanians on low or fixed incomes need assistance to afford basic services like electricity, healthcare, housing, education and transport. But the concessions are not just about the basics. They are also about enabling people to visit Tasmania’s National Parks, complete an Adult Education course or travel on the Spirit of Tasmania. In other words, concessions can help Tasmanians participate and be included in their community.
You can browse concessions under the following categories:
- Parks and Heritage,
